At the forthcoming Chinaplas trade fair, held on May 16...19, the company will display new innovative solutions for resin stabilization such as next-generation ultra‐low emissive anti‐scorch antioxidants for PUR foams. Baptized NAUGARD® FOAMPLUS LE, these products enable compliance with the most strict global VIAQ (vehicle indoor air quality) standards, being implemented progressively today.

On the other hand, Addivant is currently investing considerably in worldwide regulatory compliance. Under governmental scrutiny on the rise, the company makes sure that every commercial solution is compliant with national regulations, including REACH. Thus, it provides the nesessary peace of mind for its customers in the complex modern world. John Steitz, president and CEO of Addivant, resumes the corporate spirit: "We have demonstrated our commitment by registering over 150 products within the REACH framework, registering over 50 chemicals globally, and having obtained more global food approvals than any other additive supplier."
Addivant will also highlight its entire range of next-generation products for advanced applications such as construction, cable and wire, and recycling. The trade fair motto of Adfivant, "Solutions to Breakthrough," reflects well the performance boost of resins and rubbers, increased productivity and recyclability, and reduced costs.
One example is LOWINOX® XPS 162, a very efficient stabilisation solution for new-generation resin-based flame retardants for extruded PS, improving color stability tenfold. Another key innovation is ULTRANOX® 800 series, a new range of highly performant stabilization products for polyolefin compounders with special requirements. These may include better long‐term heat ageing (LTHA), improved color, or higher regrind percentages in raw material, while keeping end product quality intact.
Addivant will also present an updated version on its breakthrough nonylphenol‐free phosphite WESTON® 705 stabilizer that sets the industry benchmark for PE food packaging. The update will make it possible for polyethylene polymer producers to comply with the new Chinese food contact law, GB9685‐2016, WESTON 705 is becoming the most globally approved (in over 180 countries of the world) and extensively tested high-performance antioxidant. Recently, the product has got the FDA approval for use in plastic packaging for infant food and breast milk.

Trade fair visitors will additionally have the chance of learning about Addivant's commitment to reliability and sustainability. A new generation of LLDPE packaging using WESTON 705 has successfully been launched into mass production in the U.S., Europe, and Asia, ensuring increased safety, performance, and efficiency. Serge Rogasik, VP & General Manager of Addivant, concluded: "As promised to our customers, we continue to make significant investments to ensure maximum reliability and supply security. Over the last three years, we have increased our pace of investment in assets and regulatory on average by 40% every year."
In order to satisfy high local growth while increasing supply security for regional customers, Addivant is massively investing in Asia‐Pacific, namely China and South Korea. Production capabilities in the region will thus more than triple, while the local commercial and technical organization will grow by some 25%.
At Chinaplas 2017, the company will highlight new solutions from the industry's widest portfolio of specialty antioxidants: ANOX® and LOWINOX® phenolic antioxidants; ALKANOX®, WESTON® and ULTRANOX® phosphite antioxidants; OCTAMINE® and NAUGARD® amines; NAUGARD® thioesters; ANOX® and NDB® blends; LOWILITE® light stabilizers; POLYBOND® and ROYALTUF® polymer modifiers; NAUGARD® rubber chemicals, polymerization inhibitors, and intermediates.
